Overview
The question to ask, when a person needs to learn to type with one hand is, Can you use standard keyboard with your one hand? If the person has good use of one hand, then the answer is yes!

With good use of either the right, or left hand (at least four fingers), the you, or your student can type on a standard keyboard, with no overlays, or assistance devices.

Within 1-3 weeks, working through drills, the fingers will learn HOME BASE, and which keys each finger is responsible for. Afterwards, the student can then step into any mainstream class or software program.

If you know of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, you might have heard, or read the story of my learning to type in the '60's after an accident which took a great deal of one hand. When the story became so famous in the '90's, I began to get calls weekly, from parents and typing teachers, wanting my help to find the One-Hand Typing Manual. It is almost impossible to find, so I wrote my own!

One Hand Typing Manual (CD)
4 versions are included. Three allow you practice typing right into the manual, on your screen. One, our personal favorite, is a 330 page PDF file for use with for use Adobe Acrobat Reader. Two others are in Microsoft Word 95/97 or 98. The final version is a PDF which is exactly the same as the hard copy comb-back manual. This one, only 72 pages from which you can print out your own hard copy. ALL FOUR HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME LESSONS, they are just formatted to be read differently. Microsoft Word is a word processing program which you must have on your computer to read the one of those versions. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program, which we have included on the CD, and which it is highly likely you already have on your computer.

With the use of either your right, or left hand, this simple manual will teach you to type on a standard keyboard. Within 1-3 weeks of working through the drills in this manual, you can step into any mainstream typing program or software to learn speed and accuracy typing.
