ClaroRead for Mac is easy-to-use and provides the perfect integrated tool for use with Microsoft Office 2004. The range of additional voices in over 20 languages is also helpful for those learning a second language. Since ClaroRead for Mac is closely integrated with Microsoft Word, Safari and other Mac applications, almost any text can be spoken aloud.

UPDATED VERSION NOW SHIPPING! ClaroRead for Mac has just moved to the '08 version (version 3), and includes 3 high quality Acapela British English voices, Graham, Peter and Lucy. ClaroRead for Mac '08 has been fully tested with the new Apple OSX Leopard 10.5, and Microsoft Word 2008, as well as working on prior versions of OSX and Word 2004.

There are also more editable speech, highlight, pronunciation and homophone settings. The new settings features include:

• Echo characters, words, sentences whilst typing (all applications).
• Stop speaking after sentecte in MS Word and pause speaking between words.
• Pronounciation editor for changing how the voice pronounces words.
• Highlight word by word, sentence by sentence or paragraph by paragraph (with text and background color choice).
• Homophone and Tricky Word Spelling Editor - add new homophones, tricky words and additional spelling suggestions.
• Updated ClaroRead for Mac Toolbar.

The ClaroRead toolbar for Microsoft Word allows a user to quickly and easily change the font size, colors, spacing and background color. Any word can be checked for definition and meaning with a single click on the ClaroRead Word toolbar.

The Word Toolbar also features a homophone checking tool which highlights these tricky words which sound alike but are spelt differently and have different meanings. An example of the 'Check Homophones' feature is shown below:

ClaroRead PLUS for Mac includes a full copy of OmniPage Pro X, the most advanced optical character recognition software ever delivered to Macintosh users. It includes a host of features designed to do one thing - save customers more time and effort than ever before. OmniPage Pro X can scan paper directly into Microsot Word, and convert PDF files into text documents for editing and to be spoken back by ClaroRead.

Includes ClaroView for Mac

ClaroView for Mac will work with any piece of software, as it acts as an “overlay” on the Mac screen. With ClaroView, you can change the color of the overlay from the whole color spectrum. You can also then adjust the tint level to make it brighter or darker. As users have different visual preferences, ClaroView allows you to set the color of the overlay. This color settings will be retained. There is a single button to reset the color to your standard display settings.
