Why do so many people feel that many are still ignorant when it comes to disabled people? I don't get that very often at all, I think it's because I don't give them the chance. I don't present myself as one nor let anyone see me as one. I hold my head high, smile on my face, well groomed and when I do open my mouth it's with intelligence. Should anyone try to treat me differently I will be the first to correct them!!

Sesame Street in Israel has a new puppet living with a disability...meet Griotte. I thought this was so cute I had to share it.

My disability will always be a part of me, but if it's the only part that you recognize, then you've have only scratched the surface of who I really am.
