where are the jobs?
today as i was watching dow news they released a new report that stated small businesses are not hiring and many will be cutting jobs. yet the obama administration claims to have saved/created jobs. so i ask where are all the jobs? are we truly on the road to economic recovery? in my opinion it still seems we are still in recession. what is your opinion?

I prefer not to discuss politics because they all do is promise the world to get voted in office and then they as please and it is not always in the best interest of the American people. Buckle up it is only going to get worse.

As far as I am concerned we are still in the tubes. New jobs have not been created so far. I have been in contact with the different businesses in Huntsville and most of them have laid people off. This goes for NASA, benchmark electronics, ADTRAN and Boeing. So no this administration has done nothing to increase the workforce.

I could not agree with you more Dennis they have done nothing.

I agree that everyone is hurting in this economy. Like I talked about on another post in this section, people don't frequently talk about the higher rate of unemployment among the disabled. Disabled people face even more challenges when trying to find work than non-disabled people.

Check out this article that discusses special equipment, training, and job programs for the disabled

If you are receiving federal benefits, your local VR ofice may be able to help you with job training. Also, look into federal jobs for disabled people. Over 100,000 disabled people will be hired in the federal govt in the enxt 5 years (disability.gov). Lastly, did you know that disabled people are more likely to own than own business than non-disabled. That's right, visit disability.gov to find out how you can start a business, get grant money, and even someone to help you plan your business success--all for free.
