About

Married 40 years, 2 adult children, 6 grandchildren, native San Franciscan, Vietnam Vet, University of Washington Alumnus, 44 year career in the airlines. Places lived: California, Japan, Vietnam, Alaska, Seattle Wa, Texas, Georgia.
MY DISABILITIES: At age 11, right arm all but torn off at elbow in a terrible accident and reattached, Posterior Tibial Syndrome in both ankles and feet affecting balance, mobility, and stamina; right knee surgically repaired twice and will neither bend nor straighten out fully; Spinal lateral stenosis as a result of an occupational injury.

Dec 3rd. I think it is fun to have a birthday between Thanksgiving and Christmas because everyone is in a festive spirit. My poor youngest granddaughter's is on Dec 24th!

We already took our BIG one in January when 12 of us (six adults, 6 kids) went to Orlando. A summer vacation has now been reduced to a weekend flying to somewhere.

Some people call what I do "driving." I don't do that as well as I used to but I haven't had a traffic accident since 1974 and am somewhat proud of that accomplishment.

You know what they say: "Good drivers just DRIVE." And, the #1 excuse for car accidents is "I didn't see them." My wife is the one who points out most of my personal blind spots for me.

I've had foot orthotics but NOTHING like those space-age contraptions! I had an AFO prescribed for my left foot and a brace for my right one called an "Arizona" brace. Neither one was effective so I just shuffle around as best I can.
